Mimi's Cafe

    When breakfast orders are served at a restaurant and one diner looks at his plate and utters "Is that all there is?", the meal may be doomed. In spite of that dubious beginning the rating given the latest Tulsa Breakfast Club visit is pretty good.

   Mimi's Cafe, near the northeast corner of 71st and South Memorial, 918-254-6333 offers a comfortable and nicely decorated interior experience. Our main server did an "okay" job but failed to catch a misunderstanding in one order. A second server providing coffee was very friendly and had a broad smile.

    Club member #1 ordered the Cinnamon Brioche French Toast. On the menu eggs
and bacon come with the French Toast breakfast. However, for some reason our server thought he had ordered a la carte. So with no eggs on his plate it did seem bare. However the Clubber was very pleased with his French Toast.

    Club Member #2 ordered the Mardi Gras Omelette. While he said it was good there was a lack of enthusiasm for the dish. Our #3 diner ordered simple eggs, sausage, and potatoes breakfast. He found the eggs and sausage slightly warm while the potatoes were cold.

    Two members ordered muffins with their breakfasts. One member ate half and made no comment on it. The other said his tasted too doughy.

    The grades for Mimi's from the three Club Members varied, but averaged out to a B
minus.
