Morning Fastbreakers

Phill's Diner

Our breakfast club outing this morning took us to Phill’s Diner on 32nd Street, just
east of Harvard. Plenty of parking in the immediate area, which, I believe, is a plus when selecting a place to dine-out. The Diner is light and airy with two eating areas and
a small counter with old time stools.

From the time we entered until leaving, the staff was very attentive, filling coffee cups
and also checking for additional needs and inquiring about our selected orders. I chose the Farmer’s Omelette that arrived topped with cheddar cheese, cooked to perfection and loaded with bacon, sausage, chunks of ham and a veritable collection of other goodies to tempt my palate. Accompanying the omelet was a choice of toast or biscuits and gravy, and home fried potatoes or grits.

The breakfast Menu included some good-old downhome meals including choice of eggs, meat, omelets, waffles, and cereal. We thought the service excelled, the quality of food and quantity was great; our rating for Phill’s Diner is A.
