Morning Fastbreakers

It does not happen often. A restaurant raises the bar. The Wild Fork does just that. Tucked away in Tulsa's Utica Square shopping center the Wild Fork offers up some of the finest breakfasts around.
For one of the three Breakfast Clubbers on the morning outing this was the first time at the Wild Fork. His initial reaction was that the prices were high compared with other restaurants we have visited. That complaint quickly faded after we were served.
He ordered the Wild Fork Hash which is a mountain of food on a plate. So much he could not finish it. The hash, like my Southwest Omelet, included a generous helping of meats and veggies. It must be pointed out the veggies are extremely fresh. My omelet was fluffy and the cheese was evenly melted and did not overpower the variety of flavors from the bell peppers, onions, and jalapeno. The pico de gallo on the omelet was mild.
Two members of our Breakfast Club trio ordered cheese grits as a side. The opinion split down the middle. One lapped his up while the other will likely not order it again.

A tempting side on the menu is an order of beignets. The deep fried, powdered sugar coated, ball of dough made famous in New Orleans. Concerns about waistline and heart health win out when I consider placing an order.
Overall the Wild Fork earns a grade of "A."
