Morning Fastbreakers

                                                      Cafe Seville

The Tulsa Breakfast Club members traveled to south Tulsa this morning to visit Café Seville. Café Seville is located at 10021 South Yale in the Shops of Seville Center. The Center is located on the north-east corner of Yale & 101st Street intersection.

Café Seville opened at the beginning of October this year in the former location of Java Dave’s Coffee. The menu includes Breakfast sandwich, Croissantwich, and Toaster with offerings unique to each. There are eggs with pepper gravy/biscuits, two mouthwatering French toast dishes, Flapjacks, Bananas Foster Pancakes and make your own omelet. Sides include meats, fruit, yogurt, along with coffees and juices.

Ordering at the Café is done at the counter and our meals were delivered to our table. One of our members selected the Breakfast Croissantwich of grilled ham, Swiss cheese, and scrambled eggs on a freshly baked Croissant. Unfortunately, the meal was cold when served and was returned. Apologies were given and the meal was immediately replaced along with a bonus gourmet cookie from the bakery. The Croissantwich was flavorful and enjoyable.

Our second clubber ordered the Break of Day Toaster with two eggs, over easy, Applewood slab bacon on grilled Sourdough bread. Commenting, that the Applewood bacon, (his favorite) enhanced the flavors of this sandwich and rated as “very good.”

The last member of our group this morning opted for the Orange-Almond French Toast with a side of Turkey Sausage. The French loaf bread was flavored with orange juice, orange zest and honey. The French toast was served with powdered sugar Dark Chocolate Ganache and almond slivers. The Chocolate seemed to over-power the orange flavorings. This offering has a pleasant blend of flavors and is definitely well-suited for those with a Morning Sweet Tooth.

Our TBC rating is a B+
