Morning Fastbreakers

Spartan Family Diner

The TBC members traveled south to 12908 S. Memorial Drive to Spartan Family Diner located in one of the fastest growing suburban cities, Bixby, Oklahoma. One of our members, born, raised and educated in Tulsa admitted that this was the deepest he has ever been into Bixby that he remembers.

The trip is definitely worth the time to enjoy what we rated as a B+ breakfast experience. Spartan’s menu is expansive including some of the largest pancakes we have seen, fresh fruit, French toast, omelets, skillets, eggs your way and a combination of eggs, ham, sausage, chicken and veggies.

If you are interested in down-home old fashioned cooking, fast service with a smile, Spartan Family Diner is the place to enjoy all of the above.

We sampled blueberry pancakes with a side of sausage. The pancakes were cooked to perfection with lots of fresh blueberries. The sausage patties had a dry mealy taste. Another member opted for two eggs, two bacon strips, two sausage patties, along with pancakes (with extra syrup) and a side of home fried potatoes. The verdict, very, very good. Our third member ordered the three meat omelet with ham, sausage, bacon, topped with cheese and offered with breakfast potatoes and a biscuit with homemade gravy. The omelet was light and fluffy, and prepared so that the ingredients blended together for a great taste.

The portions are generous and toothsome, so our advice is grab your appetite and head south to Spartan Family Diner.
