Morning Fastbreakers

The Bramble Restaurant – Blue Dome District

The fearsome threesome ventured to the Blue Dome today to visit and enjoy an early morning breakfast at the Bramble “small plate restaurant.” Located at 313 East 2nd Street, Tulsa, the Bramble opened last December, is owned and operated by Hope Eagan, and located next door to Tall Grass Prairie restaurant also owned by Eagan.
Our first impressions upon entering the restaurant and absorbing the unique chandelier lighting, wall hangings and table settings was “exotic and pleasantly unusual”

The Breakfast Menu contains a mixture of down home cooking (Biscuits & Gravy) to International Fare of an English Breakfast, Khachapuri, (a traditional Georgian cheese filled bread) Akaushi Smoked Short Rib Hash (beef used in Kobe restaurants) and Migas
a traditional Spanish breakfast seasoned bread.

With such a varied and diverse menu, our consensus was “What a wonderful place for
a
business breakfast and/or to entertain friends and out of town visitors.”
We enjoyed the following offerings:

Sears Swedish Pan Cakes served with outstanding favorable maple syrup, peach preserves and covered with powdered sugar. This dish will satisfy your sweet tooth!

Smoked Akaushi Short Rib Hash has a bizarre name, but it is just what it says it is. Akaushi is one of the four breeds of “Kobe Beef” cattle. It was pulled and lightly bar-b-queued into a delicious hash which formed the base for the one egg to rest. The hash-browns were equally as tasty with a small portion of baked apple on top. Three delicately fried onion rings topped the dish. Very good.

English breakfast included banger sausage, hash browned latke, lightly seasoned potato pan cakes, a grilled tomato slice and traditional baked beans with just a hint of spice. All topped off with two poached eggs. An interesting combination of flavors that was most satisfying.

The presentation of our meals was superb, wait staff most attentive……………..we rated this experience A.
