Egg It On Café

Several friends of the Tulsa Breakfast Club had urged us to give a Broken Arrow restaurant a try. It proved to be a good tip. Egg It On is nestled in the corner of Laurenwood Square near the intersection of 145th East Avenue and South 81st or Aspen and Houston (the street names in Broken Arrow).

The modest storefront masks the size of this eatery. The main dining area is “L” shaped and offers both tables and booths. Two members of the Club tried almost every table and booth before they were satisfied with the seating. It must be pointed out the staff was super helpful and even jovial about our repeated requests to change tables. The staff’s good nature is a reflection of the good food as well as the clean and pleasant atmosphere.

The menu is large and varied. Each Club member was pleased with their   order and the restaurant easily earned a unanimous “A” grade.

Our table hopping member is an expert in Greek cuisine and ordered the Greek To Me omelette. He enjoyed the dish filled with feta cheese and fresh vegies.

The Godfather was a menu offering he could not refuse for another Breakfast Club member. The plate sized omelette was brimming with Italian sausage and a variety of vegetables.

For the third diner it was a bit of French mixed with a dose from south of the border. He ordered the Chicken Fajita Crepe. It was loaded with large chunks of chicken and topped with a mild creamy salsa and sour cream. With breakfast orders you have a choice of toast or an English muffin as well as either hash browns or seasoned potatoes. The seasoning on the seasoned potatoes was very faint.

The Tulsa Breakfast Club feels Egg It On is well worth a try.
